Fight against automation
A live Pure Data performance where randomised machine-learning processes govern the work's small and large structures, leaving the performer inside a system that keeps distorting its own logic.

Live performance | 2019 | Six speakers | Duration: variable
A live algorithmic sound work for six speakers.
Built in Pure Data, the piece uses randomised machine learning algorithms to govern both micro- and macroscopic structures, leaving the performer to move through and manipulate the chaotic middle ground.
The system evolves in real time, undermining predictable metre and form, and gradually distorting its own internal logic.
Commissioned for DOSE, Saigon, the work stages a sonic resistance to control by allowing automation to unravel itself from within.
